An Artist’s Ramblings –  20 June 2021 – Plein Air Painting

First I would like to wish all the fathers out there a very happy Father’s Day, may all your dreams come true.

I have been a little lax posting these days, with the warm weather comes gardening in my new raised beds just put in this spring, golf, BBQ’s on the deck, the new deck just build last week, plien air painting etc., all these wonderful pursuits which I love have been using up my computer time.   I will try to do better as things slow down a bit here in the summer.

This past week I was able to visit a working farm and between the berry picking, horses, tractors, taking photo’s etc., I was able to get in this little pen and ink on multi media paper.  It is the proverbial wood shed that is always attached to the house on farms in this part of the world.  It couldn’t have been a better day for sitting in the shade painting and it couldn’t have been at a better location.   A big thank you to my friend who invited a few of us to share in her world for a few hours.

The wood shed (some of us have fonder memories of the wood shed than others)

I can’t forget Stanley the horse who paid us a special visit.

Cheers
