November Gold Abstract III
Hello everyone, this is just add short update on what has happened recently in and around my studio. I took an Abstract landscape painting workshop on the weekend and was so excited about the results that I couldn't wait to share them with everyone.
The object was to take a photograph of the landscape and simplify it into more than one abstract painting. This is not near as simple as it sounds. For those of you who paint landscape you will realize just how easy it is to get caught up in the big picture or the details, however the instructor Marc Gagnon was great at explaining things. The following are my 1st results. The 1st image is a copy of the photograph I was working from and the following three are my abstract paintings derived therefrom. The real landscape painting November Gold is on my website www.bettysullivanart.com as well a number of more recent pieces I have painted.
Hope you enjoy this.
Cheers
Betty
